ImpactLives owns nine acres of land near Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic. This beautiful property is perfectly located to take advantage of local city services and native agriculture, and yet is a setting of tranquility. The vision for this land includes a vocational training center for local residents to learn basic life skills, as well as a trade or specialized skills to provide for employment. In addition to serving the local Dominican and Haitian population, the ImpactLives’ global training and service learning center will host individuals and teams from around the world. The setting is ideal for experiencing cross-cultural and global learning, service learning elements, and the full ImpactQuest leadership development model.
The land is currently being tended and farmed by local residents who are experimenting with various crops and business enterprises. We are looking for partners to invest in a capital campaign to develop the full plans and to begin construction on this project. The cost to fully realize this vision is $1 million. Your gift of any amount will allow us to begin the process of construction. The land is completely paid for and is being held as a Dominican Republic non-profit.
